Baxter VersaOven™ is the Recipient of National Restaurant Association Show’s 2019 Kitchen Innovation Award

ORTING, Washington (March 20, 2019)  – The Baxter VersaOven™, the latest innovation in cooking equipment, combines the best features of steamer, rotisserie, convection and combi ovens into one space-saving design, resulting recognition by the National Restaurant Association Show with a Kitchen Innovation Award.

The Baxter BV400G is one of 25 products selected in 2019 as part of the NRA Show’s 15th annual Kitchen Innovation Awards. Designed to provide kitchens with a new level of versatility, the VersaOven is a self-cleaning, programmable gas rack oven that offers convection and non-boiler steam to serve as a steamer, rotisserie, convection oven, and combi oven all in one.

“Since we introduced the VersaOven last year, retail, cafeteria foodservice directors even restaurant operators have been responding enthusiastically to this one-of-a-kind oven,” said Director of Sales, Tom Moore. “Being able to roast meats, steam vegetables and bake cakes in one, versatile oven that can deliver a higher quality product has been a game changer for many of them.”

Built to offer the cooking advantages of rotisseries, rack ovens and combi ovens in one convenient and consolidated package, the VersaOven features a rotating interior oven rack for even cooking results, and a 95,000 BTU/Hr in-shot burner system. The VersaOven is also built with a patented, self-contained steam system that generates more steam than a standard mini-rack oven. Designed to handle the daily cooking demands of the busiest delis, grocery stores and retail kitchens, the VersaOven has the capacity to fit 40 three-pound chickens, 10 standard 18”x26” sheet pans, or five 12”x20”x2.5” steam pans.

Convenience and efficiency is also built into the VersaOven. Programmable touch screen controls offer simple operation, and recipes with up to six stages can be easily uploaded and stored to ensure consistent quality across all batches. At the end of the day or between batches, the patent-pending automated wash system, combined with a patent-pending grease separation system, makes cleanup fast and easy.
